Each week Teachers House will bring you a series of specially curated books, chosen for different age groups, together with tips and hints on how to use them with your children or students.

Preschool and 0-3 Year Olds

With bright colourful pictures, this set of 8 Spanish and English bilingual board books introduces two languages in an easy format.

Kindergarten to Lower Primary School

Who doesn’t love Pete the Cat? Introduce your students to this cool cat who’ll make them want to read!

Upper Primary

Not quite a picture book but with enough pictures to entice the reluctant reader, The Magic School Bus brings science into the classroom in a relatable way.

High School and Up

Did you know that Dr Seuss wrote “Green Eggs and Ham” based on a bet with his publisher who said he couldn’t write a book with less than 200 words. Green Eggs and Ham only contains 50 words. A Dr Seuss 50 Word Challenge is a fun and different lesson idea for high school or older students.

New Teachers

Struggling to come up with a quick fill in activity or need an injection of new ideas? The Never Bored Kid set of 10 books is packed full of ideas for class.

One on One or Small Group Teaching

Finished your lesson plan and still have 5 minutes of class left? Or one student has finished before the others? This set of 7 activity packs gives you a reward system for completing the lesson or ideas to build on for new lessons.

Teacher Parents

While teaching upper- and lowercase letters to pre-schoolers, this book introduces fruits and vegetables from around the world. A glossary at the end provides interesting facts about each food.
